OK ... Well "Shiver me Timbers" - I got the Google Map prototype working in the new Appeon Web software just released last week (Appeon for PowerBuilder 2015 Build 0359.00 )!
I love Appeon! 
Also seems to work OK in Opera, FireFox and the new W10 EDGE web browsers as well...
