It is really odd about the F4 search. Maybe the program is not active.
About the Upload option greyed, it seems the screen is not in change mode.
Please try to select the Change pushbutton (or Ctrl F1) in the Screen Painter.
The two issues may be connected, can be a lock to edit the screen.
